Born in Larisa, in 1965. She studied Chemistry at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. After completing her studies she continued her education at the London School of Journalism.
She has worked for more than 22 years as a journalist in both the print press as well as in major television networks like SKAI, STAR, ALTER and MEGA. Ms Spyraki has worked at the European Parliament between 2003 and 2004 at the Press Office and was head of communications at the office of Commissioner Mr. Stavros Dimas during his tenure in the period 2004-2009. As a reporter, she has covered major political developments in South-East Europe and she has covered the political reportage of the main political scene from 1998 until 2014 when she resigned from all her journalism engagements to run for office at the European Parliament upon the request of Prime Minister Antonis Samaras. In the May 2014 elections, she was elected first in order, getting 248.350 votes.
She is married to Assistant Proffessor Dr. Stratos Stylianidis, and is the mother of two children.
